Grape Fruit Essential Oil

Grapefruit got its name from the way the fruit grows in clusters, much like grapes themselves. It has a very distinct citrus flavor and aroma that is both invigorating and energizing. Grapefruit has also found in cleaning products and is thought to have purifying properties. Grapefruit can also be found in skin care products.

Uses:
Add to facial washes and moisturizers to help promote healthier looking skin
Place 1-2 drops in diffuser and enjoy the aroma
Add 1-2 drops to a glass of water to help promote metabolic health

Directions for Use:
Diffusion: Place 3-4 drops in a diffuser.
Internal: Dilute 1 drop for every 4-fl. oz. of liquid.
Topical: Apply 1-2 drops, dilute with doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil to the area needed.

Cautions:
May cause irritation to sensitive skin
Keep out of reach of children
Do not use if pregnant or nursing without consulting your doctor
Avoid getting into eyes and ears
Avoid direct sunlight and UV rays for 12 hours after application

GRAPE FRUIT ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES

Dishwasher Detergent Tablets
Ingredients: 5 drops Grapefruit oil, 1 tablespoon doTERRA On Guard Cleaner Concentrate, 1 cup baking soda, ¼ cup citric acid
Instructions: Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour into mold and allow to sit for 4 hours. Remove tabs from molds. Store in airtight container of your choice. Use in place of conventional dishwasher tabs.

Spring Fling Room Spray
Ingredients: 20 drops Lemon oil, 20 drops Grapefruit oil , 20 drops Lime oil, Distilled water
Instructions: Combine all ingredients in spray bottle. Shake well before using. Spray in room where desired.

Whipped Body Butter
Ingredients: 15 drops Grapefruit oil, 15 drops Wild Orange oil, ½ cup shea butter, ½ cup cocoa butter, ½ cup coconut oil, ½ cup Fractionated Coconut Oil
Instructions: Combine coconut oil, coconut butter, and shea butter in a glass jar. Fill a sauce pan with 1 to 1-1/2 inches of water. Bring to a boil. Add glass jar to center of boiling water and allow ingredients to melt together. Stir ingredients in glass jar to mix thoroughly using a popsicle stick. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Add essential oils. Allow to cool in refrigerator until set. Remove from refrigerator and whip with hand mixer, starting slow and increasing speed until a fluffy texture is achieved.

Pitaya Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients: Bowl
4–6 drops Grapefruit oil, 2 cups frozen fruit, 1–2 frozen banana(s), sliced, 1 ½ fresh kiwis, sliced into chunks, 1 packet frozen pitaya, 1 cup cashew milk, ½ fresh mango, sliced into chunks

For the toppings
½ fresh mango, diced, ½ fresh kiwi, diced, Chia seeds, to taste, Coconut flakes, to taste
Instructions: Combine all ingredients and place in a blender. Add ice as desired; more ice equal thicker smoothie. Pour into bowl or large glass. Garnish with toppings.
